Health Departments Now Have Limited Supplies of the H1N1 Vaccine
Only the county health departments have received large quantities of H1N1 vaccine. The H1N1arrived
at the New Hanover Health Department last month, and should be arriving by the end of November at other area
health departments. Only small amounts of H1N1 have arrived at pediatric offices so far. No pediatric offices
have been told when or even if we will receive more H1N1. For more up-to-date information on H1N1, go to http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/It will be important to try and vaccinate all children this fall, so try and get the vaccines wherever they
are available. To make an appointment for your child, the New Hanover County Health Dept vaccine appointment number
is 798-6646.
And yes, Dr. Edwards, Dr. Jackson, and Dr. Player all received their
H1N1 at the health department this week!
