Scheduling Your Visit

Our Practice does not allow Walk-In appointments.

Please call first before any visits to schedule an appointment.

All parents are now checking in via their phone from the parking lot, and patients are sent straight to the room once it is available.

Are you an expecting mother?

If you would like one of The Pediatric Center's pediatricians to be your baby's doctor, you can simply tell the staff on the obstetrics floor at NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital when you check in that you want Dr. Edwards, Dr. Player, Dr. Jackson, or Dr. Renton for your pediatrician. Your baby will actually be assigned to us before he or she is ever born!  When you do deliver, your baby will appear on our rounding list automatically in the hospital data base that we access frequently from the office or home.

The Pediatric Hospitalists at NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital are in the hospital 24/7 and will be rounding every day on your baby and overseeing their care.  We feel having your new baby covered by in-house Pediatricians throughout their stay is the safest way to care for them.

Our doctors from The Pediatric Center also make rounds in the hospital during the week and will see you prior to your discharge to answer any questions and discuss the care of your new baby.

When your child is sick

Babies and children can get sick at any moment.  That's life.  And that's why we have an open scheduling system with at least two providers in the office all day long.  After you are an established patient at The Pediatric Center, we keep an open schedule for sick patients, so when your child needs a provider, during the week we can see you that same day

During the week, we ask that you please call first and make an appointment before you come.  Our sick-visit scheduling is similar to the Disney® FASTPASS ticket for riding their most popular attractions.  By calling ahead, we can give you an approximate appointment time to significantly reduce your child's wait time.  Just like the FASTPASS, this prevents everyone from showing up at once and decreases the wait times for everyone.  Some days your wait is zero, others it may be longer.  Our goal is to have you in and out of the office in under an hour even on our busiest days.

To Make a Routine Appointment

If you need to make an appointment for your child for a routine physical or a non-urgent follow up appointment, you can either call our office at 910 762-2651 during routine business hours, or request one online through our Patient Portal.

We are currently ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

who are under the age of 11 years old.
