Dr. Player
Education & Interests
Dr. Player earned a bachelor of science degree in molecular biology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated Cum Laude in 1995. Dr. Player received her doctorate in medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in Georgia, in 2000, and finished her Pediatric residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2003. She is board certified in pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Player's special interests include newborn care and breast feeding education.
She is married to Dr. Greg Player, a family medicine physician who works here in Wilmington at New Hanover Medical Group. They have two daughters, Emily and Kate.
Dr. Player's hobbies include spending time with her family at the beach, reading books, foreign mission trips, and travel.
